Laura Service - UX/UI Designer, Article
Laura Service is a UX/UI Designer on the Software Product Design team at Article. In her role, Laura is focused on improving the customer service experience, the delivery experience and starting UX research and discovery for Article's B2B programs. Prior to Article, Laura was an interactive designer at Bookmark Content and Communications and worked as a freelance interactive designer for clients like Air Canada, Mercedes-Benz Magazine and the McGill University Biochemistry Research Department. Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from Vancouver Island University.
Christin Wiedemann – Director, Quality Engineering at Slalom Build Vancouver
A Ph.D. particle physicist by training, Christin uses her scientific background and analytical skills to dissect complex software solution problems. Her career in the technology sector has primarily been spent in the professional services industry, starting as a quality assurance consultant and progressing through different manager and director roles. As Director of Quality Engineering at Slalom Build Vancouver, she is part of an incredible team of quality advocates, working collaboratively with clients to create ground-breaking products, while simultaneously advancing quality engineering practices.
Tera Luxembourg – Experience Design Principal at Slalom Build, Vancouver
Tera has led design projects for 15 years, helping businesses to create meaningful digital products that add value to people’s lives. Her curiosity and the excitement of finding new horizons is what drives her. Her work is a constant process of mastering new professional and personal skills, and it evolves with her. Tera believes in continuous learning and sharing her knowledge. “What you do today can improve all your tomorrows.”
Patience Mpofu - Director - Women Who Code, Technical Lead - Felix Payments
Patience is a technical development lead at Felix Payments. In her role, Patience focuses on improving and optimizing the full software development lifecycle for mobile point of sale systems. Over the past 8 years of her working experience she has worked on various enterprise mobile and web development within the financial services industry and is passionate about building robust, secure applications.
