In this talk, we will discuss how to know, effective strategies for career changers into tech, especially for those who are new to the US work culture. We will also dive into the common pitfalls of career changers, and uncover ways to get unstuck during a job search.
Sonia Liang is an award-winning career coach, and currently the Associate Director of the Career Strategies and Engagement Center at the Brandeis International Business School. For the past six years, she transitioned from a career generalist to a specialist focusing on helping students to break into data analytics. Her favorite career topics are navigating options, making decisions, and communicating across cultures. She is an advocate for international candidates, frequently writes and speaks about navigating US job search to a global audience.
