The past year has upended everything from remote work practices to how we network and host events as a community. To address this significant change, we have assembled a panel of professional women in tech to log in and have a conversation with us about it! We would love to have you join us to get your questions answered about anything related to Imposter Syndrome. ----
Panelists:
Megan Cole Megan Cole has been in the Information Technology field for 7 years and is currently a Software Engineer at Availity. While front-end development is her passion, she enjoys dabbling in other areas of the tech world. In her free time, you can find her playing with her German Shepherd Blitz, spending time with family/friends, baking goodies, and doing artsy things.
Amanda Viola Amanda is currently the Director of Business Development for eCarra. This all Telsa ride-share company plants a tree for every ride and sits on the Advisory Board of Girls in Tech Dallas, which advocates for diversity and inclusion in the technology field.
She has worked in the technology industry for over seven years, gaining experience in IT managed services, international turnkey project management, IaaS & PaaS Sales, and various other technology domains.
As a seasoned technology sales professional, she is passionate about connecting people and transformational innovation.
Melissa Conrad
Currently and for the past six years, Melissa has been working as a web developer building applications for Mor Furniture for Less, Inc. IT department. She is a second-generation Vietnamese immigrant, US Navy veteran from the Naval Nuclear Program, a wife, and a mom of two kids and one corgi. She has degrees in Industrial Engineering, Multimedia Design, and Media Arts, specializing in Web Design. Her hobbies include home organization, playing Animal Crossing New Horizons, and taking time for self-care through exercising and discovering healthy recipes. Social Media:
Elizabeth Portilla Elizabeth (Lizzie) has been a Peruvian Software Engineer for many years in many places. She is currently at Pinterest through BairesDev. She lived a couple of years in Mexico, and loved it there! She also organizes and collaborates some community events in Lima, NodeSchool Lima, Lima JS, and Frontend Foxes. Lizzie loves to make electronic music in her spare time.
Patti McLetchie Patti is currently the Design Technologist for projekt202, a consulting company that focuses on experience-driven transformation. She has been building her skills in design, development, and consulting since 2010. She graduated from the Emerging Media and Communications program at the University of Texas at Dallas in 2013 where she focused on user experience. Her experience ranges from marketing to user experience design to front-end development for enterprise software companies. With a focus on giving back and creating community, she has spearheaded externship and mentorship programs at projekt202. She has 2 cats and 2 dogs and 1 man human and lives in Lakewood. Her hobbies include gravel biking, pilates, pairing food and wine, and trying new recipes out with her fiancé.
Moderator: Shilpa Vir Shilpa is a seasoned Product Manager and leader with a passion for delivering business results, and her enthusiasm for doing the right thing for the customer is contagious. She currently serves as a Product leader at Google Inc. Prior to joining Google, Shilpa led global teams for companies like eBay, Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Yahoo. Shilpa has also worked in several early and mid-stage startups as well-founded and ran her own company. Outside her day job, Shilpa is very involved in teaching and coaching. She is the lead product management instructor at Product School where she has taught students from 12 countries. She also runs a career coaching business on the side to help people achieve their career goals and has helped people from 7 countries.
