Eileen Cerny Retired Master Software Engineer at Capital One Recently retired after a 37-year career in tech, Eileen has done everything from writing Fortran programs for computer simulations of radar detection, to learning Java at Capital One to help create the first online bill payment application at the company. She took approximately 6 years away from work outside the home to focus on raising her two children.
Alison Meehan Cybersecurity Analyst, current job seeker After 8 years running a non-IT-related business from home while raising three children, Alison earned a certificate in cybersecurity and is currently in the process of securing her first job in the tech field.
Hayley Ortega Head of Product at Ippon Technologies Hayley has worked as an operations manager, project manager, digital project manager, and head of product. She has balanced parenting and working outside the home throughout her career.
Cara Ziegel Data Consultant at Impact Makers After numerous roles in the business intelligence area, Cara planned to stay at home for a few years, until her youngest started kindergarten, but wound up homeschooling her children for 13 years. Since relaunching her tech career about 3 years ago, she has worked in data analysis and development.
